DESIGN

SealexcelBite-Lok™ Flare less Bite Type Tube Fittings are designed according to DIN 2353 and manufactured under rigid quality control procedure approved to ISO 9001:2000 to provide leak free connection of tubes and components in Fluid systems which ensure high degree of safety and reliability.

Sealexcel Tube Fittings are available in two series i.e., L-series and S-series.

L-Series are Light duty having low pressure withstanding capability than S-Series and can be used for compressed Air, Hydraulic return lines, Fuel heating, Automotive industries etc.

S-Series are heavy duty high pressure withstanding capabilities than L-series and can be used for heavy duty machineries, ship building, mining , chemical Industries, Large capacity refrigerating plant, compressed Air lines etc.

PRESSURE RATING

Sealexcel Tube Fittings are suitable for use at the following nominal pressure.

Note:- Since many factor influence the pressure at which a system will or will not perform satisfactorily. Detail as shown above are only for guidance and not rigid.

TUBE SELECTION

Stainless steel fully annealed seamless tubing according to standard ASTM 213 or ASTM 269 or equivalent are suitable for use with Bite-Lok tube Fittings.

The Tubing should be compatible with process Fluid, Pressure and temperature. The hardness of tubing should not exceed 90 Rb.

TEMPERATURE RATINGS

For Stainless Steel 316 Bite-Lok™ Tube Fittingsupto 4000 C

Note : For higher temperatures, reduction in pressure should be taken into account.

CONSTRUCTION OF Bite-Lok Tube Fittings


Bite-Lok™ tube fittings consist of three precision component such as Nut, Bite Ring and Body.


Note : Nut with Internally silver plated are available on request.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

1. Ensure that the end of Tube is cut square within 0 angle to the tube axis, and remove the burrs and sharp edges.
2. Lubricate the thread and cone of the fitting body, Bite Ring and thread of the Nut.
3. Insert the Nut and Bite Ring over tube end.
4. Screw on Nut manually on to fittings body until finger tight, hold tube against the shoulder in the cone of fitting body.
5. Tighten the Nut with wrench 1 1/2turn from the finger tight position as shown in fig. (a)
   
6. Loosen the Nut, remove the tube from the fitting, check penetration of cutting edge. A visible collar fills space in front of first cutting edge completely. It does not matter even Bite ring rotate on tube end.
7. Final assembly: Tighten the Nut until a sharp condition rise in torque is felt.
   
   

REASSEMBLY INSTRUCTION :

Each time the fitting is disassembled, the nut must be retightened firmly using the same torque as required for final assembly.
